Task 2

Task 2 - T-PACK and ACAD馃挌

In this task, we had to do a diagram which explained the concepts of T-PACK and ACAD.

The TPACK model basically wants to reflect on the three types of knowledge that teachers need to master to incorporate ICT effectively in their educational practices in order to achieve a meaningful and successful learning for students. Regarding ACAD, it is a framework which tries to involve and assist the analysis and design of the different complex learning environments that we could find.

You can see our final diagram in the following link! ⇒ https://prezi.com/view/9rM1USLHs9TZNjp7698n/

The roles in this part were the following ones:

  • Analyst: Alicia.

  • Journalist: Daniela.

  • Facilitator: Ana Mar铆a.

  • Star: Ana Isabel.

  • Translator: Elena.

  • Curator: Paula.

Analyst reflection 馃挭

In order to develop this task we had some problems... but fortunately we managed to complete it successfully馃挭馃挭

Starting with the worst part of the week... At first, we were confused with the deadline and thought the task was due to a week earlier than it was!! You can imagine how stressed we were at that time, but the best moment of the week was knowing we had more time left to finish it in a more relaxed way.

Another difficulty we found with this task was creating the information map since we didn't have a clear idea on how to organize the information. On the other hand, the best part was that we were really happy with how the task went out. I would like to thank our Star, Ana Isabel, who did an amazing presentation to the rest of the group.

Something we should conserve as a group is the respectful environment we have created in which everyone feels safe to share their ideas. Each of us opinion matters in the same way and I think that's an important characteristic of an effective work group. Maybe we could improve our organization, specially in the online class where we have an schueled period of time to develop the activities.

We have learned a lot of things about TPACK and ACAD framework, which is content directly related with this degree.

I hope you have liked this post! See ya next week in another role馃槝

Translator:

We have produced a poster that reads in a more visual way the 5 key elements of this task.
We hope you like it :)馃挌

Finally, taking into account the difficulty of the task, we can say that it has been above all to relate the two concepts. Since they were totally unknown (TPACK-ACAD) for us and we did not have enough fluency with them to establish a relationship. The task itself, we have been able to carry out thanks to the online platform "Prezi" to create the concept map. In order to carry out these concepts in the classroom, we believe that a good knowledge of possible future events is necessary, control the topics to be addressed and try to motivate the students above all.

Self-evaluation: HAPPY FLOWERS: In this task we think we deserve an 8 out of 10. In this task, we were very coordinated, even though it was one of the first tasks. We were able to fix our mistakes in time and we were able to get the task done well. We were working as a team all the time, helping each other. Even though we felt a bit frustrated at the beginning, we knew how to handle the whole situation as efficiently as possible. ELENA: I think I deserve a 10 out of 10 for this task. This was the first task we had to introduce on the blog, and I was the one who was most familiar with this world. That's why I was the one who helped my colleagues to understand it. It's normal to help your colleagues if they don't understand something. On the other hand, I think I fulfilled my role perfectly that week, as I knew how to research in all the relevant places to perform my role correctly. DANIELA: In this task, I would say that I deserve an 8 out of 10 because I was one of those who answered the questions related to the videos, but I had never used prezi before, so I didn't know how it worked and I wasn't very helpful in creating the information map. Despite that, I helped in any way I could and I asked my colleagues what I didn't know how to do so I could do it as well. I also was the one who published this task in our instagram account. ANA ISABEL: In this task, I think I deserve a 9 out of 10, as I was the one who tried to get my colleagues out of the overwhelm at all times. I was available if there were any problems with the task and I helped them. I also completed my role as a star that week quite well, despite a small handicap.

ANA MAR脥A: In my opinion, I earned a 6 out of 10, because I couldn’t be able to focus and collaborate too much as I didn't have enough energy to work when I got home at night. At that moment, I was too busy for personal reasons and that is not an excuse, but I remember I was so tired that some day I fell asleep as fast as I got home. It was not my best week! PAULA: I think I deserve an 7 out of 10 in this task because I participated in answering the questions about TPACK and ACAD that later on were used to create the diagram. Regarding the diagram, I was in the meeting but I wasn’t of great help because I wasn’t still fully familiarised with how Prezi worked and with how to create the diagram. Apart from that, that week I was the curator and I learned how to make an interactive mind map for the blog post and I think I did a good job performing that role. ALICIA: In my opinion I deserve a 7 out of 10 because looking back I have done much more in other activities. I was in the video calls and did part of the prezzi but I wasn’t very useful because it was difficult for me to finally understand the concepts. Regarding my role, I wasn’t familiarized with developing the roles effectively yet I think I could have provided more information and a better reflection.
