Task 6
Task 6 - Exploring Tasks with Digitals for Fostering Transversal
Competencies 馃挋
This task consisted of having to create and design a complex activity from four simple ones, from the TACCLE book, and carry them out as if we were children. This had to be reflected in a PechaKucha presentation by answering some given questions about the task, including a recommendation to read or watch to learn about the format we used.
Finally, we had to include the tools in the general Classroom Ethics
tools’ database, referencing their number of stars.
You can see our final activity and our PechaKucha presentation in the following link! ⇒

This week, the best part of the activity for us was elaborating the storytelling. We didn't use "Animaker" before and we had never invented and created a story like the one we did, so undoubtedly it was a very special and nurturing experience for us.
I don't really know how to say what has been the worst part of doing this task, maybe the more boring one has been evaluating the different apps we have used. Actually, I think we have enjoyed this activity a lot this week and there is nothing really worse.
The best moment of the week was when we all were creating the script for our storytelling "Gabriella and the poetry". We were all giving different ideas to compose the whole story, and this was a really creative and rewarding part of the task. However, I think there was a worse moment of the week. This was the one in which we were like a whole day without any inspiration nor new ideas. We were a bit "disoriented" because it was the first day of the task and none of us knew where to start.
We have learnt so many things! We discovered three amazing apps: "Pathbrite", "Animaker" and “Vocabulary.com”. We didn't know at all about these tools, but once you use them, you would like to repeat! They are really interesting, especially Animaker. It is an easy and fantastic tool for creating videos in the way you want, offering you many options of customization.
For the remaining weeks of this course, we have to maintain the good vibes and the strong collaboration and communication we have among us. However, the only thing I think we could improve is the positivism, because sometimes we crash down for a moment, and this is not bad, but maybe we can be a little bit more positive.
The content we have seen in this activity is very important for us as future teachers. Knowing about the different apps we could use to create different content and to develop our creativity is really crucial. Besides, nowadays technology and computers are a huge part of our present-day life, and getting to know about TACCLE is something which I'm sure will help us in the future in some way. We would look at these books for activities and tools that allow us to teach Key Competences in a way that students enjoy the learning process.
I have to say that this week, we all have given the best of ourselves and we are very proud of our work. We think that our effort and dedication has been reflected. I would go so far as to say that this has been our favorite activity and also the one we are more proud of.
So, this is everything! I encourage you to use and try these three amazing tools: "Animaker" (An online do-it-yourself animation video maker), "Pathbrite" (An online tool for ePortfolios) and "Vocabulary.com" (A platform all about words).
Here is the link to the poster so that it can be enlarged and read more clearly.
The main weakness we could have experienced has been trying to put all the information we had in a Pecha-Kucha of only 20 slides! I think we had too much information to show and we needed to summarise it.
Self-evaluation
HAPPY FLOWERS : In this task, we consider our mark to be a 10 out of 10. Since we were all very involved in this one, we decided to create a story that was as original as possible and that also related to the concepts that we had seen during the course. We used different tools to carry it out, and we knew how to create a common thread for all of them. We knew how to be quite efficient, as we divided up the work in the best way possible in order to get it done in the shortest time possible. In addition to this, we believe that in this task we deserve this mark, because it is a fact that when we work as a team, distributing everything well and helping each other, things work out much better.
ELENA : For this task, I think I deserve a 9 out of 10. Since I was ready for whatever the whole time, and like my colleagues, I was very involved in the task. I was available at all times in case my colleagues had any doubts when doing their parts. I was designing the presentation together with my partner, as well as creating the script for the presentation. Besides this, I think I performed my role very well, even though I was very nervous, because I prepared a lot together with the other star.
DANIELA: I deserve a 10 out of 10 since, as I was the star, I was really involved in this task. I helped to choose the four activities and to create the complex one. I also designed the Pecha Kucha presentation with my mates and created the script with Elena. We made zoom sessions in order to rehearse the presentation and I was really happy with our performance, so I believe that I performed my role as a star very well. Finally, I included the rubrics of every tool that my mates did in the general Classroom Ethics tools’ database and I searched for them in the common sense privacy program.
ANA ISABEL: I think I deserve a 9 out of 10 for this task, because I was very involved in it, just like my colleagues. I paid attention to all the details of the task, as well as to the work of each of my colleagues, in order to be able to perform my role as an analyst. I helped them at all times and was always available for anything my colleagues might need.
ANA MAR脥A: In my opinion I earn a 9 out of 10. I think it was one of the bigger tasks we have performed, talking about the quantity and the quality of our final work. It took us a lot of time to do it so we needed to make an effort and avoid doing other things but… It was worth it!
PAULA: I consider that in this task I deserve a 9 out of 10. In this task I think that we were all very involved and that can be seen in the final results. I attended all the meetings and I participated in answering the questions and in carrying out the activities we chose. Regarding my role that week, I was the journalist and I think my post was complete and it answered all the questions.
ALICIA: I think I deserve a 9 out of 10 in this task because it was a big task and, as well as my partners, I put in a big effort and inverted a lot of time in this one. I was very involved in this task and we all tried to develop it the best we could so Elena and Daniela could be able to do a great presentation, which they did. Regarding my role, I think I did a great job as a facilitator because we were well organized and very efficient.
